Mastel Grain Company was founded on January 2, 1980 as a brokerage company specializing futures and options execution from the trading floor of the Minneapolis Grain Exchange (MGEX). Mastel Grain has provided brokerage services to a vast array of grain hedgers ranging from flour mills and exporters to country elevators and producers. In the 1980's our company expanded its services to commercial grain firms in Japan, Korea, Australia, Canada, and Europe.
In December 2008, open outcry trading at the Minneapolis Grain Exchange came to an end and the Hard Red Spring Wheat market became 100% electronic. Mastel Grain has been at the forefront of this transition from the beginning and has developed the expertise to remain competitive in today's highly automated trading environment. With the close of the trading floor, Mastel Grain became a guaranteed introducing broker and now clears R.J. O'Brien, one of the world's largest futures commission merchants, and has extended its services to retail clients.
Mastel Grain now has three brokers with 120 years of combined experience. We provide fast, accurate electronic order execution as well as a wide variety of order entry systems for self-directed trading. Mastel Grain clients also benefit from up to the minute market information, daily market research, and trading ideas.
